Based at Elgin, may be required to cover other duties at various depots.
Responsibilities
The collection of waste from domestic and trade establishments Assist the refuse driver in the collection and disposal of waste Responsibility for the operation and service of the round when driving General cleansing duties To ensure the highest standards of Health and Safety are applied
The Individual
Previous employment of a similar nature i.e. predominantly labour intensive Previous experience in an LGV driving post Must have a basic level of literacy in order to read and act on instruction Category C Licence Able to work on own under instruction and as part of team Ability to follow routines and instructions Able to communicate with members of the public Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to the practice of good team working Willingness to accept direction/delegation Ability to work flexibly to meet the needs and demands of the service Ability to bend and stretch in order to uplift waste and recyclable materials Ability to work in all weather conditions Closing date: 6 February 2026 Starting Salary: £26,531.86 Hourly rate: £13.79 (Grade 3) - £14.18 when driving (Grade 4) 37 hours per week Proposed interview date: TBC Further information contact 07800 670639
