Overview
The CCDC is looking for a Software Engineer, interested in developing web-based user interfaces and web security, to help researchers worldwide crack complex scientific problems. This role contributes to the advancement of science by building intuitive software that enables data and knowledge from our database of 3D chemical crystal structures to be used in academic research and across industries.
Responsibilities
* Design, develop and release software applications as part of a Scrum team.
* Contribute to all aspects of UI in our web-based software products and apply modern software engineering best practices.
* Work with a team of experienced developers on interesting development projects using the latest web technologies.
Qualifications
* Typically 3-5 years of experience in a commercial software development environment.
* Strong interest in the full software development lifecycle and in usability, accessibility, testing, and software deployment.
* Demonstrable experience with web security topics in a development environment.
* Comfortable developing on the .NET platform, specifically using C#.
* Experience with Blazor is not required but would be a decisive advantage.
* Experience in an environment serving the scientific community is preferable.
