SEN Teaching Assistant – Full Time Opportunity Primary School in Blackpool Start Date: February 2026 ⏰ Monday–Friday | 08:30 - 15:30 Teaching Personnel is seeking a committed and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive Primary School in Blackpool. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about helping children with additional needs flourish both academically and emotionally. About the Role The successful SEN TA will support pupils across the school with a range of additional needs, including: ASC (Autistic Spectrum Condition) ADHD Social, emotional and behavioural needs You will work closely with class teachers, SENCOs, and other support staff to: Provide 1:1 and small‑group intervention Implement personalised support strategies Use de‑escalation and positive behaviour approaches Help children access learning and develop independence Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils who may require additional reassurance and structure This role will suit someone patient, intuitive, and confident in adapting to individual needs. What We’re Looking For We would love to hear from you if you have: Experience supporting children with SEN, particularly ASC, ADHD or behavioural needs A calm, nurturing approach and the ability to build rapport quickly Strong communication and teamwork skills The ability to follow behaviour plans and support emotional regulation Resilience and a genuine passion for improving outcomes for children A valid child‑only DBS on the update service, or willingness to apply for one Experience in a school, support, or care setting is highly desirable.
