Overview
MFT is one of the biggest, most ambitious, and progressive NHS Trusts in the country. We are responsible for running a family of nine hospitals across six sites, providing a wide range of services from comprehensive local general hospital care through to highly specialised regional and national services.
This role is in Aseptic Services within MFT. You will be a motivated team player, flexible, self-motivated, and professional, with excellent organisational and communication skills. You must be able to work accurately, quickly and under pressure, have a good eye for detail, prioritise your workload to meet deadlines and be committed to delivering a high standard patient-focused service.
Responsibilities
* Demonstrate professionalism and work using your own initiative to meet deadlines and patient needs.
* Work accurately and methodically in busy Aseptic Services Units; perform effectively under pressure with an excellent eye for detail.
* Be committed to delivering a high standard of patient-focused service.
* Prepare Neonatal, Paediatric & Adult PN, Adult & Paediatric Chemotherapy, CIVAS and Clinical Trials across MFT; work innovatively to provide services to patients.
* May be required in the future to provide cover at any of the sites within Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust.
Requirements / Qualifications
* Strong team player with flexibility and self-motivation; professional outlook and excellent organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work accurately and methodically in a busy Aseptic Services Unit; capable of performing under pressure with a keen eye for detail.
* 1 in 5 Saturdays (9:00–13:30) on a rota, bank holiday working as part of a rota, with posts based at the Oxford Road Campus and potential across sites.
* Opportunity to work towards NVQ Level 2 in Pharmacy Manufacturing for support staff; development programme supported for all staff.
About the Trust and Development

The Trust has created a digitally enabled organisation to improve clinical quality, patient and staff experience, and operational effectiveness, including the Hive Electronic Patient Record system launched in September 2022. We are a major academic Research Centre & Education provider and are working on a Green Plan to promote sustainability.
