12 month Fixed term contract/secondment opportunity
The East of England Imaging Academy (previously, Norwich Radiology Academy) was established in 2005 to provide high quality training to the Clinical Radiology training programme through a mixture of clinical experience, tutorials, simulators and use of imaging archived investigations. Education and training are the core purpose of the Academy; alongside the Clinical Radiology training programme, we also deliver multi‑disciplinary education and training for other imaging healthcare professionals in the East of England.
The post holder will provide project administration support as part of a team delivering NHS England’s national mechanical thrombectomy training programme for the East of England region.
Responsibilities
* Facilitate effective communication and coordination of activities between all those involved in the project/process development via telephone, meetings, and visits, written and verbal correspondence. Provide regular project/process updates to programme leads and external stakeholders.
* Develop and maintain effective communications internally and externally, fostering excellent working relationships with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders involved in the projects/processes.
* Use initiative and work autonomously, operating effectively in the absence of the line Manager to ensure the effective prioritisation and completion of project and process related tasks.
* Create, develop and maintain efficient and effective office systems essential for the smooth running of the projects/processes.
* Take telephone calls for others in the department when they are out and use initiative when dealing with phone calls and messages.
* Involved in internal/external auditing and project/process evaluation as required.
* Undertake research regarding the projects/processes, distribute as required.
* Provide accurate and timely data input into databases and/or relevant spreadsheets.
* Organise and attend meetings as necessary, set agendas and take minutes as required including planning in advance.
* Use the full range of features within Microsoft Office to produce spreadsheets, letters, reports and other documents as required.
* Assist with the preparation of reports and presentations for the projects/processes.
* Work within a small team and support the efficient running of the imaging academy by providing administrative and other support as necessary.
Qualifications
* Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
* Competent knowledge of AV facilities.
* Flexible approach to working hours is essential.
