Hours: Monday-Friday, 08:00 - 15:30
Pay: £132.09 per day
About the Role
Prospero Teaching is seeking an experienced Senior Science Technician to join a thriving secondary school in Manchester. This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the Science technician team, support teaching staff, and ensure the smooth running of practical science lessons across KS3 and KS4.
* Prepare and set up experiments for practical lessons across Biology, Chemistry, and Physics
* Maintain laboratory equipment, chemicals, and stock
* Support teachers and students during practical activities
* Ensure health & safety compliance in all science labs
* Train and supervise junior technicians where applicable
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
* Proven experience as a Science Technician in a secondary school
* Strong knowledge of health and safety requirements in school science labs
* Excellent organisational and communication skills
* Ability to work independently and lead a small team
