If you share our values, join our family.
Serving the bustling city of Sheffield, Outwood Academy City was constructed in 2011 with state-of-the-art facilities and joined Outwood Grange Academies Trust three years later. The school has undergone a huge transformation for its 1200 students, with an innovative curriculum and a personalised approach to learning enabling them to realise their vocational, practical, creative and academic abilities.
This was recognised by Ofsted in February 2019, when the academy was judged ‘Good with Outstanding Leadership’. Inspectors noted that, “Leaders and teachers demonstrate high expectations for all pupils. They are determined that pupils achieve well in their subjects”.
At Outwood Grange Academies Trust we are a family of schools that strive to raise standards and transform lives. Outwood Academy City is excited to offer this opportunity to work as a Teaching Assistant. The successful applicant will provide classroom support to our amazing children, timetabled by our inclusion department. You will be empowered with the knowledge to support the learning of our well rounded children.
We are looking for an individual who has high aspirations for children, committed and passionate about learning; who has the skills and determination to make a significant difference to the lives of our children and share our goal of ‘Students First’.
The role of Teaching Assistant across our Academy is to promote the learning and welfare of children by providing practical and learning support to children, including those with Education Health Care Plans, under the direction of the class teacher. Outwood Grange Academies Trust provides a high-quality learning and cultural environment that inspires and motivates children. Whether you are ambitious for progression, or determined to be an outstanding member of our support team, Outwood Academy City is the place for you.
If you are considering this role, the chances are that you already have a passion for supporting children during their time in school and we would welcome the opportunity for an informal conversation, or for you to come and see our warm, inclusive setting.
