Riverbank is looking to recruit a Senior Support Worker to join the team. This is a full position at 37.5 hours / 3 days per week. This role includes a mixture of day and night shifts. Shift times will be - Days - 8:00 am – 8:30 pm / Nights - 8:00 pm - 8:30 am - Weekend work included. Annual salary - £26,130 / £13.40 per hour Riverbank is located in Hull, in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The service offers residential support for 24 people with mental health needs. We are located off a main road leading to the city centre and within walking distance of a beautiful park. Our team are dedicated to supporting residents to live independently in the community, increasing their quality of life. Riverbank offers a step-down service from hospital or locked rehabilitation units and also supports people who may require a step up from the community. What you’ll be doing You will be part of a compassionate team who are committed to our residents' wellbeing. We take a personalised approach, using proven therapies to help people move forward with confidence and build a healthier, more fulfilling future. As a Senior Support Worker, you will play a key part in their recovery, assisting qualified staff with the assessment and implementation of individual patient care plans, undertaking routine tasks and activities as directed or delegated to facilitate wellbeing, dignity and treatment of residents A Senior Support Worker supervises support staff and provides essential care and assistance to vulnerable individuals, ensuring they lead fulfilling lives. Key Responsibilities Supervision and Leadership : Oversee and mentor support workers, ensuring they provide high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health diagnoses and those with complex needs. Lead shifts with confidence. Personal support : Assist clients with daily living activities, including prompting good personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management, promoting their independence and dignity. Emotional Support : Provide emotional and psychological support to clients, helping them cope with challenges and enhancing their overall well-being. Community Engagement : Encourage and facilitate clients' participation in community activities, helping them build social connections and pursue interests and hobbies. Collaboration : Work closely with healthcare professionals, families, and other stakeholders to develop and implement person-centred care plans that meet the unique needs of each client. Documentation : Maintain accurate records of clients' progress, incidents, and care plans, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and organisational policies. This position is crucial in ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the support they need to live independently and with dignity, making a positive impact on their quality of life.
