Summary
The Governors at Whittlefield Primary School are excited to appoint an enthusiastic and highly motivated Pupil Support Manager with Lead DSL/Attendance. Key Responsibilities:
* Provide timetabled, flexible support to individual pupils and their families to address barriers to learning and wellbeing.
* Lead initiatives to assist children and families in overcoming social and emotional challenges.
* Lead the school on issues of behaviour and attendance, promote a whole school approach in developing and implementing policies and procedures to overcome obstacles to learning and improve participation in learning and school life.
* Support children in various school settings, including classrooms, lunchtimes, and breaktimes.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and external agencies to ensure holistic support for pupils.
* Maintain accurate records of support provided and monitor progress.

Essential Qualifications
* Professional and/or academic level 5 qualification or equivalent, or substantial experience in a relevant technical, specialised, or operational field
Recognised vocational or professional qualification plus broad experience in the area of expertise. May be working towards a professional qualification or be of graduate entry level with sound practical experience.
Essential Experience
* Detailed knowledge of own service area and relevant working systems
* Analytical skills and problem-solving capability
* Ability to informally train and mentor less experienced staff
* Ability to influence others based on technical or professional expertise
Ability to build and maintain effective networks and relationships
