Job Description
We have been instructed on a 'hot off the press' requirement. Our client, a global law firm, is looking for an experienced non-contentious construction Lawyer to join their ranked team for a contract of 12-14 months in duration. The role is to start ASAP and will operate on a hybrid working basis, with 2 days per week in the office.
The successful candidate can expect to work closely with a directory ranked Partner and receive enviable exposure to a broad range of non-contentious construction matters.
The team advises a wide cross-section of the construction and engineering industry on the drafting and negotiation of complex construction contracts for a range of domestic and international projects. They work with most of the main suites of contract including FIDIC, NEC and JCT as well as bespoke contracts. Transactions often involve energy and transport infrastructure projects.
Applicants are likely to be able to demonstrate:
* Qualification as a Solicitor in England and Wales, or another commonwealth jurisdiction (such as Australia or New Zealand, for example)
* Possession of upwards of 5 years' experience in advising on a full range of non-contentious construction matters
* Relevant experience in the UK market, within notable firms across the City or regions
* A good eye for detail
* The willingness and ability to commit to a 12-14 month fixed term contract
* The ability to start a new role immediately or at short notice
The preference is for the successful individual to be based out of their London office, but other regions, such as Manchester and/or Bristol, are feasible.
