The role
As a Mobile Vehicle Mechanic, you’ll be at the heart of our Equipment Support Cell, providing critical engineering oversight and technical validation across a range of defence projects. This is a unique opportunity to influence the success of our supply chain operations and contribute to the delivery of cutting-edge solutions that support the UK’s defence capability.

Day-to-day you’ll be:
• Reviewing and validating technical requests and engineering solutions
• Diagnosing and assessing vehicles and mechanical/electrical equipment
• Completing documentation and test reports to current standards
• Collaborating with supply chain subject matter experts (SMEs) to solve technical challenges
• Supporting the development of engineering practices and tools
This role can be based at any of our main UK locations, totalling 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday. As this is a field-based position, travel between different sites and occasional overseas travel is expected.
Essential experience of the Mobile Vehicle Mechanic:
• Communicating effectively across business and operational functions

• Building strong relationships to drive consensus and results
Qualifications for the Mobile Vehicle Mechanic:
• NVQ Level 3 in Service and Repair or equivalent mechanical qualification

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role.
