An established residential developer is looking to appoint a Senior Development Engineer to support its Technical team across new and existing housing developments in the Cheshire / North Wales region.
This is a key technical role focused on the engineering aspects of site delivery, ensuring roads, sewers and associated infrastructure agreements are designed, approved and delivered to the required standards, on time and within budget. The successful candidate will play an active role throughout the technical process, working closely with internal teams to support efficient site delivery and eventual adoption.
The role will involve:
* Managing S38, S104 and S278 road and sewer design works and associated section agreements
* Supporting the construction and adoption of roads, sewers and related infrastructure works
* Attending regular technical and site meetings to support build programme delivery
* Providing technical input around ground conditions and foundation design implications
* Assisting with planning permissions and statutory approvals
* Supporting the discharge of planning, NHBC and building control conditions
* Commissioning site investigations, topographical surveys and assessment reports
* Reviewing engineering designs to identify value engineering opportunities
* Liaising with internal departments to support a smooth start on site and ongoing delivery
* Responding to technical and engineering queries across the business.
The ideal background:
* Previous engineering experience within the housebuilding sector
* Strong understanding of roads, sewers and technical infrastructure delivery
* Knowledge of S38, S104 and S278 agreements
* AutoCAD proficiency
* Good commercial awareness
* Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a busy team
* Full UK driving licence
* HNC / HND qualification or above.
