Location: Cumbria
Monday to Friday 40 or 45 hour contracts available.
£31,000 - £39,000 starting salary (depending on contact chosen).

The Mobile Vehicle Technician role is suitable for engineers from any plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment. This is a great career opportunity for vehicle technicians looking to move into a new industry as the company will fully train. You need to demonstrate mechanical service and repair skills, ideally have engine diagnostics and some basic electrical skills.
The company manufactures forklift trucks. As part of a team in the area, you'll be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance and breakdown coverage on a range of forklifts and associated equipment in Cumbria. No stay‑away or extensive travel is required. Overtime is available if desired, mostly during the week.
Role in Brief
* Carry out PPM and breakdown on materials handling machinery on a field service engineering basis
* Reactive breakdown coverage within the allocated geographical area
* Complete comprehensive training to become fully competent on all machinery and equipment
* Spares placed in van overnight
Required Qualifications
* Experience with plant, forklifts, HGV, agricultural or similar equipment, automotive technicians/motor trade suitable
* Engine diagnostics and basic electrical skills
* Ideally hold a Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant subject
