What you will do:
* Carer Support & Supervision: Offer regular supervision and support to foster and kinship carers, ensuring national standards are met with commitment and care.
* Assessment & Planning: Conduct thorough statutory assessments (such as Form F), write detailed reports, and devise plans that cater to identified needs.
* Child-Centered Practice: Champion the welfare and identity of children by advocating for their best interests and promoting their involvement in decision‑making processes.
* Team Collaboration: Cooperate closely with other professionals, including fellow social workers and therapists, to deliver comprehensive care.
* Training & Development: Lead training sessions, contribute to the development of carers, and actively participate in recruitment campaigns.
* Matching & Placement: Handle the matching process between carers and children, skilfully managing both planned and emergency placements.
Requirements of the Social Worker:
* A degree or equivalent qualification in social work.
* Current and active Social Work England registration.
* Robust frontline experience within UK Social Services, showcasing your expertise as a qualified Social Worker.
