This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of manufacturing processes, lead new product introduction activities and deliver projects that have a direct impact on productivity, quality and operational performance.Working Hours & BenefitsMonday Thursday: 8:30am 5:00pmFriday: 8:30am 1:30pmBenefits25 days holiday plus bank holidaysPension scheme with up to 10% employer contributionLife assurance (4x salary)Permanent Health Insurance (PHI)Structured career development opportunitiesExposure to advanced manufacturing technologiesOpportunity to work within a globally recognised engineering businessThe RoleAs a Manufacturing Production Engineer, you will be responsible for a designated manufacturing area, supporting both new and existing business through the development, optimisation and continuous improvement of manufacturing processes.You will lead new product introduction (NPI) activities, manage capital investment projects and work closely with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, efficient and cost-effective manufacturing solutions.This role offers a fantastic opportunity for an engineer who enjoys combining technical expertise, project management and problem-solving to deliver measurable improvements across production operations.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the planning, implementation and monitoring of new product and product variant introductionsEnsure NPI activities are delivered on time, to quality standards and within budget using APQP methodologiesDevelop and optimise manufacturing processes, work methods and production equipmentDefine specifications and requirements for new manufacturing equipmentManage capital expenditure projects from concept through to implementationWork collaboratively with Production, Quality, Purchasing and Design teams to deliver effective manufacturing solutionsDrive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles and PDCA methodologiesImprove production capacity, output, quality and process capabilityReduce scrap, rework and cycle times while improving OEE performanceSupport process quality assurance and process control activitiesLead engineering and process changes in line with company proceduresTroubleshoot technical issues and implement both short and long-term corrective actionsParticipate in design reviews to support Design for Manufacture (DFM) and Design for Test (DFT) activitiesManage supplier relationships relating to manufacturing equipment and process developmentDevelop and maintain process documentation including PFMEA, Control Plans and Operator InstructionsWhat We're Looking ForMinimum two years' experience within Manufacturing or Production EngineeringBackground within Automotive Tier 1 manufacturing, FMCG or a similar high-volume manufacturing environmentStrong understanding of: APQPPFMEASix Sigma methodologiesStatistical Process Control (SPC)Lean Manufacturing principlesKanban and Pull SystemsExperience of New Product Introduction (NPI) project managementKnowledge of manufacturing process design, workstation design and factory layoutsStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities effectivelyDegree qualified in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline (preferred)Experience using CAD software, ideally AutoCADDesirable ExperienceMulti-skilled engineering knowledge including mechanical, electrical, hydraulic or pneumatic systemsExperience of complex manufacturing automation and capital equipment projectsHonours Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Systems Engineering or a related engineering disciplineWhy Join DENSO?At DENSO, engineering innovation sits at the heart of everything we do.
