SEN Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support - Year 5)
Location: Chatham (limited public transport access)

Hours: Full time| Term-time only
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 pupil who requires additional help with behaviour regulation and developing positive social interactions with peers.
This rewarding role involves working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to create a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment that enables the pupil to thrive both academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide consistent 1:1 support tailored to the pupil's individual needs
* Implement behaviour strategies and support emotional regulation
* Encourage and facilitate positive peer interactions and social development
* Adapt learning activities to ensure engagement and accessibility
* Monitor progress and provide feedback to staff and parents where appropriate
The Ideal Candidate Will:
* Have experience working with children with SEN, particularly behavioural and social needs
* Be patient, resilient, and empathetic
* Demonstrate strong communication and teamwork skills
* Be proactive in supporting inclusion and positive relationships
* Remain calm and consistent in challenging situations

Due to the school's location in Chatham, access by public transport is limited. Applicants should ensure they have a reliable means of travel.
