JOB TITLE: Retrofit Assessor

PURPOSE OF JOB
The Retrofit Assessor will support the delivery of the Green Doctor Retrofit Programme which aims to tackle fuel poverty issues and improve energy efficiency for vulnerable residents living in communities across Yorkshire.
The role will primarily focus on delivering in home data gathering for bespoke retrofit reports for hard-to-reach households. To help deliver an exciting project for retrofit reports that gives the occupier the skills and knowledge to start their retrofit journey.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Complete data gathering for bespoke retrofit reports in homes that may contain vulnerable residents including low-income, elderly, disabled and families with young children, fuel vulnerable households. Appointments will be booked, and sufficient time allocated to complete an in depth retrofit survey that will be used by the Retrofit Coordinator.
2. Complete and record all assessment details on database, ensuring accurate and detailed records are taken.
3. Demonstrate good customer service skills and a friendly and positive attitude to all clients
4. Maintain a good awareness of our partner networks to ensure we are referring people out of our service to others which can assist with their needs
5. Use specialist technology including Matterport cameras, U-value monitors & temperature/humidity monitors to assist with a holistic report.
6. Work closely with the Retrofit Coordinators to offer insight into the property.
7. Manage communication skills to tailor approach to different audiences if required, taking account of different perspectives, personalities, behaviours and cultures
8. Complete accurate administrative duties such as data inputting, and completing relevant paperwork, and ensure these are completed to a high standard.
9. Deliver general promotion of the project, including assisting at events and workshops in the community both face to face and virtually.
10. Deal with general enquiries about the Green Doctor Retrofit projects.
11. Work to previously agreed goals and targets with a minimum of supervision.
12. Where appropriate, be flexible to work on other retrofit projects.
13. To ensure the proper use and good order of tools, material, equipment, vehicles and supporting administrative systems.
14. Play an active role in the team and actively promote a positive image of Groundwork and representing Groundwork as required at meetings

16. Any other reasonable duties as required by the Trust or line manager.
Some out of hours work (evening or weekend) work may be required.
