We are recruiting for the role of Heat Exchanger Design Engineer.
The Design Engineer - Heat Exchanger will be part of the Plant Equipment team, focusing on technical solutions, project maturity, and governance related to Heat Exchangers. The role involves designing multiple heat exchangers for the Rolls-Royce SMR power station, utilizing advanced knowledge and technology to meet complex requirements. The design process will adhere to Rolls-Royce SMR's Integrated Management System, ensuring delivery within agreed timelines and standards.
Key responsibilities include:
1. Product Development
Demonstrable experience in the design, manufacture, operation, and maintenance of Heat Exchangers is required. Knowledge of the product lifecycle, including development, verification, and safety cases, is preferred to enable leadership in this area.
1. Communication and Relationship Building
The candidate must effectively communicate and build relationships across various functions such as design, analysis, manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership, engaging with all levels of the organization.
1. Programme Development & Delivery
The role involves developing and managing engineering programmes, coordinating with other teams to ensure progress aligns with the overall project timeline, and managing ambiguity within the programme.
