Our client, operating within the highways sector, is currently seeking 10 Traffic Management Operatives for a significant contract in the Lancashire area. This is a contract opportunity for professionals experienced in traffic management and control, specifically on highways.
Key Responsibilities:
Set up, manage, and remove traffic management systems according to high standards of safety and efficiency
Implement and monitor lane closures, diversions, and other traffic control measures
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations
Conduct regular inspections and assessments of traffic management systems
Record and report incidents and near misses in accordance with company procedures
Maintain clear communication with site supervisors and other team members
Operate in a professional and courteous manner while interacting with the public
Assist with the training of new team members if required
Job Requirements:
Experience in traffic management, particularly within the highways sector
Valid driving licence
M1/M2 Lantra qualification (M5 qualification is highly desirable)
Good understanding of traffic management plans and relevant regulations
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
Ability to work flexible hours including up to 50-60 hours per week
Commitment to adhering to health and safety protocols
