Community Integrated Care is one of the UK's largest health and social care charities. We work hard to enrich the lives of the people we support with many different care needs. Since the early days, we've grown to provide many innovative and bespoke care services to thousands of people across England and Scotland. We want to provide support based on the principles of choice, dignity and respect. We have strong values and we're proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. Our Support Workers are dedicated and passionate about going 'the extra mile' for the people we support and in return, we go the extra mile for them by investing in pay, recognition, wellbeing and continued professional and personal development. We will provide you with all the training, support and personal protective equipment you need in your role and will help you develop, should you decide you want to develop your career with us.
Who you'll be supporting & more about the role:
We are an award winning home, and have won at The Great British Care Awards, as well as, the We Dare Awards.
We live in a beautiful residential home and we love our garden and spend a lot of time in it. We have a range of needs from complex learning disabilities and autism to physical disabilities. In 2018, we started a huge garden project that transformed our garden, we take good care of it and love spending time in it. We are adaptable and flexible as a team, no task is to big, we are enthusiastic, willing and positive and we support each other.
We support people to access a variety community facilities and person-centred activities. We know it takes a special person to work in social care and we recognise that not everyone that would be perfect for the role, will have professional experience. From people with vast experience in a support worker or care assistant role, from people with lived experiences who may have friends or relatives with disabilities or have looked after older relatives, to people with no experience at all.
We Enable, which are at the heart of everything we do and ensure that we deliver high quality, consistent care and support. Here at Community Integrated Care we aim to be a warm, welcoming and inclusive employer, where all colleagues feel they belong. We want to an organisation that is truly fair and equal to all - where individual diversity is valued, unique characteristics celebrated and everyone feels able to bring their true selves to work.
By encouraging and embracing a range of diverse backgrounds, experiences, capabilities and viewpoints, we will build a stronger, richer, more vibrant workforce, which reflects the people we support, and the communities in which we work. It helps us make better decisions, bring fresh ideas and become a true provider and employer of choice.
This publicly sets out the promises we've made to achieving this vision and how we will hold ourselves to account to getting there. Community Integrated Care is an Equal Opportunities and Disability Confident employer.
One of our values at Community Integrated Care is our passion for our people and every year we invest heavily in our front-line worker pay, in line with the Living Wage increase each April. Please note, if you are interested in this role, we welcome your application as soon as possible!
