Job Title: Sales Engineer / Account Manager
Area: Sheffield
Salary: £28,000 - £30,000 per annum + bonus
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 08:00 – 17:00; Friday finish at 16:00 (36.5 hours per week)

Sales Duties:
* Customer Service and Interaction: Ensure high service levels in all customer interactions, verbally and electronically.
* Gather customer feedback through surveys and regular communication.
* Achieve high response rates in customer satisfaction surveys.
* Provide accurate information and relevant certifications in response to customer quality questionnaires.
Sales and Quotation Management:
* Interpret customer requirements from engineering drawings, sketches, and descriptions.
* Calculate prices based on material costs and additional processes.
* Prepare and send quotations using company systems, ensuring quality standards and terms are met.
* Follow up on quotations via phone and email.
* Update quotation statuses in company systems.
Financial and Compliance Responsibilities:
* Check customer credit limits and coordinate with Accounts or Directors as needed.
* Ensure payment is received before production if credit is not available.
* Adhere to Quality, GDPR, and Anti-Bribery policies in all dealings.
Product and Market Development:
* Maintain knowledge of company products and the competitive landscape; research new products for addition to the portfolio.
* Identify and develop new markets, logging customer data for strategic planning.
Client Relationship and Marketing:
* Build and maintain strong relationships with current clients and attract new ones.
* Research and contact potential clients, arranging meetings to explore opportunities.
* Plan and implement marketing strategies to enhance market position.
* Promote cross-sales opportunities across departments to maximize revenue.
Logistics and Administration:
* Coordinate with production on delivery schedules that meet customer needs.
* Assist with transport logistics to ensure on-time, in-full deliveries.
* Book transport services suitable for load requirements.
* Monitor job progress using planning software to meet deadlines.
* Log transport costs and ensure charges are billed to customers.
* Maintain accurate company records, filing documents physically and digitally.
