Cyder Bar Manager
£36,000 per annum plus tronc and fantastic benefits
Due to the location of the estate, a driving license is recommended for this role
Raise the bar at the heart of our gardens—lead a vibrant team showcasing craft, quality, coffee and Somerset Cyder
Responsibilities
* Lead daily operations across the Cyder Bar, Gelateria, Winter Garden and event pop-ups
* Champion guest experience: welcome warmly, manage feedback and refine offerings
* Uphold impeccable standards of service, hygiene, safety and compliance
* Recruit, train, mentor and motivate a team of 12–20, including leaders and seasonal staff
* Run daily briefs, set clear standards and lead from the front across all seasons
* Manage stock, equipment and cleanliness to ensure efficiency and readiness
* Own departmental P&L; analyse sales, set targets and optimise revenue
* Drive profitability through seasonal initiatives, F&B activations and awareness of competitors

What we're looking for
* Confident, visible leader with a hands-on style and strong interpersonal skills
* Professional, resilient and adaptable in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
* Proven experience managing high-volume, quality café/restaurant operations
* Strong barista skills, with the ability to train and develop others
* Excellent organisation, time management and communication
* Financial acumen: P&L ownership, sales analysis and target setting
* Knowledge of stock control and inventory management
* Track record of leading, motivating and developing teams (including seasonal)
* Desirable: experience managing multiple outlets and outdoor/seasonal venues
* Desirable qualifications: Food Safety and Health & Safety certifications

Alongside the Cyder Bar, you’ll have influence over our Gelateria and a lively programme of pop-up outlets that bring flavour and fun to events throughout the year. These venues celebrate fresh, seasonal produce and showcase our high standards of hospitality in every setting.
