Overview

University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust (UCLH) is seeking a Violence Prevention and Reduction (VPR) Trainer within the Chief Nurse division. This post is an excellent opportunity for an experienced professional with an interest in violence reduction within a healthcare setting. You will report to the VPR Lead Trainer and will be responsible for training delivery of assault avoidance and restraint training. In this role, you will be expected to deliver training in the classroom to a minimum of 3 days per week.

We are looking for a specific set of skills and qualifications to meet the needs of the service. The successful applicant will preferably come from a VPR training background, working towards or hold National Federation of Personal Safety (NFPS) accreditation. You will also hold educational qualifications to deliver high quality training and advice to all staff.

In addition to working with your line manager, you will demonstrate the ability to build effective working relationships with clinical and non-clinical leads, subject matter experts and a range of external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

* Deliver classroom training for assault avoidance and restraint; provide instruction and guidance to relevant staff.
* Deliver training in the classroom to a minimum of 3 days per week.
* Develop and adapt materials to meet service needs and ensure high-quality training delivery.
* Collaborate with clinical and non-clinical leads, subject matter experts and external stakeholders to support service delivery.


Qualifications and Skills

* Preferably with a VPR training background, working towards or holding NFPS accreditation.
* Educational qualifications appropriate for delivering high-quality training and advice to staff.
* Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
