Overview We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor, ideally with heavy-groundworks and civil-engineering experience, to manage the commercial and contractual aspects of major construction projects across industrial, commercial and built-environment developments. You will support cost control, procurement, forecasting and subcontract management while working closely with project teams to ensure effective, compliant delivery.

Qualifications & SkillsBachelors degree, HND, or equivalent qualification in Quantity SurveyingProven experience working on heavy groundworks, civil engineering or substructure/works packagesStrong technical writing and reporting abilitiesAbility to communicate complex technical information clearlyExperience working on industrial, commercial, or innovation-hub / mixed-use built-environment projectsProficiency with surveying forms, documentation, and project management / cost control systems Key Responsibilities Commercial & Financial ManagementPrepare and manage project cost plans, forecasts, and commercial reportsMeasure, price, negotiate and agree budgets and variations, particularly for groundworks, civil, substructure and structural packagesManage valuations and payment notices in accordance with contract dates and payment termsComplete subcontractor liabilities for forecasting and financial reportingUndertake external client valuations, ensuring value maximisationPrepare initial and monthly cost/revenue forecasts and support external reporting for project progressProcurementFollow project procurement schedules for timely procurement of subcontractor packagesIssue and manage subcontractor enquiries
