The Role: Scenic Draughtsperson:
You'll be the creative and technical powerhouse that transforms ideas into reality. You understand how to take a project brief and turn it into precise 2D and 3D technical drawings. You will advise on the perfect materials, construction techniques and finishes to solve those tricky challenges. You get satisfaction from producing detailed component drawings for CNC and laser cutting that are spot-on every time. You're confident creating accurate quotations using our Rental Management software and keeping all project documentation up to date.
We're looking for someone who thrives as the organised go-to person for our Project Management team – someone who genuinely enjoys understanding project requirements, meeting deadlines, and keeping communication flowing smoothly with internal and external stakeholders. You'll attend site surveys and client meetings to develop projects collaboratively. You'll champion best practices in project delivery and Health & Safety while being a positive ambassador for Light Fantastic at every opportunity.
This role is perfect for an enthusiastic person who asks for guidance when they need it and shares their expertise to help others grow. You'll be joining a fast paced team that values both technical excellence and genuine collaboration – where your skills will directly shape the innovative live experiences we're known for.
Your Typical Workday:
● Work with our project management team to understand client requirements.
● Use your CAD expertise to craft detailed construction and project drawings, bringing creative visions to life.
● Support the project management and workshop teams by sharing your expertise.
