The Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Wraparound Care Manager to lead our breakfast club, after school provision, and holiday camps based in SE10. This is a hands‑on leadership role where you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure outstanding care standards, and build strong relationships with children, families and staff, while also acting as the Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL).
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the daily running of breakfast club, after school club, and holiday camps.
* Act as Designated Safeguarding Lead (DSL), maintaining the highest standards of child protection.
* Manage, support, and develop a team of childcare staff.
* Build positive, professional relationships with parents and carers and school leadership.
* Plan and oversee engaging, age‑appropriate activities for children aged 4–11.
* Ensure compliance with Ofsted requirements and safeguarding regulations.
* Maintain a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment for all children.
* Handle administrative duties including registers, staffing rotas, and reporting.
Requirements
* Level 3 (or equivalent) qualification in Childcare (essential).
* Extensive experience working with children aged 4–11 in a childcare or education setting.
* Proven experience in a leadership or supervisory role.
* Strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures.
* Experience acting as, or readiness to train as, a DSL.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
* A genuine passion for supporting children’s development and wellbeing.
* Significant experience working with children with SEND.
* Experience in behaviour management.
