We are looking for dedicated Healthcare Support workers to lead the delivery of person‑centred mental health services directly in people’s homes, ensuring care is both effective and reflective of our community values.
Job Overview
As a Healthcare Support worker you will deliver comprehensive healthcare services directly in people’s homes, managing complex emotional needs, including behaviour that challenges and personality disorders, and ensuring care reflects Unique Community Services’ values of Compassion, Impact and Community.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide mobility support, including basic moving and handling.
* Monitor vital signs such as blood pressure, temperature and pulse.
* Help with meal preparation, nutrition, hydration and maintaining a clean environment.
* Offer companionship, emotional support and, when needed, financial assistance.
* Administer medication and maintain accurate documentation and records.
Required Qualifications & Experience
* One year of previous experience in healthcare settings, in community or home‑based care.
* Experience in managing complex health needs, with a focus on mental health, autism, learning disabilities and working with diverse populations.
* Driving licence is essential for community work and transport of the people we support.
* PMVA training is required.
* Experience supporting people with complex health needs.
