In this role, you’ll play a vital part in maintaining vehicle safety, performance, and reliability, helping ensure our services run smoothly every day.Shift Pattern
1. Monday – Friday: 05:30 – 22:00
2. Saturday: 06:00 – 22:00
3. Sunday: 14:00 – 22:00
Pay & Benefits
4. £26 per hour
5. Overtime rate: £38.48 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing
9. Carry out daily vehicle inspections to identify faults, defects, or safety issues
10. Attend on-road breakdowns, diagnosing faults and completing minor repairs where possible
11. Support planned and unplanned maintenance activities within the workshop
12. Ensure all work is completed in line with safety, legal, and Arriva engineering standards
13. Accurately complete service sheets, inspection reports, and maintenance records
14. Work collaboratively with engineers, supervisors, and operations teams to keep services running and support continuous improvement
What We’re Looking For
15. NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in PSV or HGV Engineering, with time-served experience
16. Strong understanding of industry standards, safety procedures, and diagnostics
17. Confident working independently and following technical instructions
18. Good mechanical skills and experience using workshop tools and equipment
19. Physically fit and able to carry out manual handling tasks
20. Flexible approach to shift work, including weekends
