Sports Coach – SEMH School (Full Time) Location: Bolton, Greater Manchester Contract: Full time Why this role exists Some pupils don’t respond to traditional classroom teaching — they respond to structure, activity and strong role models. This role is about using a sports background to engage pupils who need a different approach. What you’ll actually be doing Instead of a fixed routine, your day will include: Running short, structured physical activities Supporting pupils who struggle to remain in lessons Helping de-escalate behaviour before it escalates Building trust with pupils who can be difficult to reach Supporting classroom staff when needed What matters more than experience Confidence and presence Ability to stay calm under pressure Consistency in your approach Willingness to get involved (Sports coaching, PT or youth work backgrounds work particularly well here.)
