Job Title: SEND Teaching Assistant

TimePlan Education Manchester is looking for a passionate SEND Teaching Assistant to support students with additional needs within a welcoming secondary school in Rochdale. This role is ideal for those with experience supporting pupils with Autism, ADHD, Dyslexia, communication difficulties and SEMH needs.
Role Overview:
You will work closely with the SENCO and teaching teams to ensure students with SEND are fully supported both academically and emotionally. The school has a highly collaborative pastoral department, making it an excellent place for professional development.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver structured SEND interventions (literacy, numeracy, communication skills)
Adapt learning materials for students with additional needs
Support learners in mainstream classrooms
Provide 1:1 mentoring for pupils who need focused attention
Work with external agencies and internal staff to ensure personalised provision
Record pupil progress and contribute to EHCP reviews where requiredWhat we're looking for:
Experience supporting SEND learners (school or alternative setting)
Knowledge of SEND strategies and classroom adaptations
Calm, empathetic, and resilient approach
Confidence working with a range of needs and behaviours
