We’re looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to join our team at the brand-new Level 1 Restaurant at St Mary’s Stadium – the home of Southampton FC. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a high-profile opening and help shape a first-class dining experience for fans and guests alike. The Role As our Sous Chef, you’ll be a driving force in the kitchen, supporting the Head Chef in leading the brigade and delivering exceptional food. From managing day-to-day kitchen operations to ensuring the highest standards of food safety and quality, you’ll play a key role in making the Level 1 Restaurant a success. Key Responsibilities: Assisting the Head Chef with menu design and development, bringing fresh ideas to the table. Overseeing kitchen management, ensuring smooth service across a 7-day operation (5 on, 2 off). Ensuring compliance with all Health & Safety and Food Hygiene regulations. Supporting with purchasing, ordering, and stock management. Leading, motivating, and developing the kitchen team to achieve excellence under pressure. Delivering consistent quality and exceptional customer satisfaction. About You Strong management and communication skills – a natural leader with a hands-on approach. Ability to work calmly and effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment. A passion for delivering high standards and creating memorable dining experiences.
