Main Duties and Responsibilities:
* Supervision of all production/operational activities within Belt Loaders.
* First line of contact for operational issues within the department.
* Responsible for follow up checks to ensure all components are available for production purposes and follow up responses to queries.
* Ensure that all available resources (people & equipment) are utilised to maximum effect in order to achieve and exceed all customer KPI's.
* Maintain harmonious working relationships with all direct employees, nominated representatives and ensure that all "subcontracted" resources perform to the required standard cost effectively.
* Ensure Mallaghan operations meet all legal requirements and adhere to
* Company policies with regard to statutory obligations and Health & Safety requirements
* Maintain the Company's Quality and Environmental Systems and ensure that all operating employees adhere to written procedures.
* Responsible for production of monthly/weekly/daily Metrics as defined by the Production Manager.
* Alongside Human Resources, conduct meetings relating to employee relations such as disciplinaries, grievances, etc.
* Maintain employees Performance Management System
* Working as part of a team to develop continuous improvement.
* Ensure compliance to all general site Rules, Regulations, Policies & Procedures
* Any other duties as required by management to suit business needs.
* Adherence to our ISO 9001 Quality management system.
* Adherence to company health and safety procedures.
Experience & Training
* Previous experience in a heavy engineering / manufacturing environment
* Previous experience as a qualified Mechanic/Hydraulic Fitter/Assembly Fitter
* Sound production knowledge and experience of meeting tight deadlines
* Previous experience supervisory/managing people experience.
* Ability to read engineering drawings
* Educational Attainments
* Has proven literacy and numeracy skills
