The Opportunity: Stop Managing Care, Start Building a Legacy.
We are looking for more than an employee; we are seeking a true business partner. You will join the leadership of a Friends Helping at Home branch, an organisation disrupting the traditional care industry with an Introductory Agency model that prioritises people over tick-boxes.
This is a sweat-equity role for an entrepreneurial individual who wants to own a piece of the business they build. You will start with 10% equity immediately, growing to 25% over 5 years, with a full salary of £38k unlocking once agreed revenue targets are hit.
The Mission:
Our philosophy is simple: Care at Heart. We do not run a traditional agency where staff are rushed through 15-minute visits. We operate an Introductory Agency, matching self-employed, vocational Service Providers (SPs) with clients for minimum one-hour visits.
Your role is to ensure our clients find their perfect match, allowing them to stay in the homes they love with consistency, dignity, and choice.
Key Responsibilities: Client Success & Operations
You will effectively act as the Matchmaker-in-Chief and Operations Director, driving the business forward.
1. Growth & Client Acquisition (The Face of the Business)
* Consultations: Conduct complimentary face-to-face consultations with prospective clients and their families. This is not a hard sell; it is about listening to needs and explaining how our model offers control and value.
* Networking: Represent the branch at community events and build relationships with social workers, NHS teams, and discharge coordinators.
2. The Matchmaking Process (Client Success)
* The Introduction: You will facilitate the chemistry meeting between the client and the Service Provider. You ensure the personality fit is right, adhering to our No Stranger Policy”.
* Onboarding: Manage the client setup, including verifying Power of Attorney (OPG100 checks) and creating client profiles in our secure systems.
* Retention: Conduct 6-monthly client reviews and quality check-ins to ensure the relationship is flourishing.
3. Service Provider (SP) Network Building
* While SPs are self-employed, they need support. You will help interview and vet new talent, ensuring they meet our Mary Poppins standard.
* Facilitate Network Support coffee catchups to ensure our SPs (lone workers) feel part of the team.
Why This Model Works
Unlike traditional startups, you are joining a branch supported by a national network with a proven roadmap:
* Centralised Support: We have a Head Office team handling high-level Compliance, Quality Assurance, and Invoicing (Blue Sky), allowing you to focus purely on Client Success and Growth.
* Legal Framework: Our contracts and policies are already established and legally vetted, protecting the business and our self-employed workforce.
* Established Brand: You are building under the Friends Helping at Home banner, with access to marketing assets, merchandise, and a trusted reputation.
The Trajectory
* Phase 1 (The Build): You join as a 10% Equity Partner. Focus on securing the first 10-20 regular clients and establishing the SP network.
* Phase 2 (The Unlock): Upon hitting the agreed revenue milestone (e.g., reaching sustainable break-even + profit), your £38k salary activates.
* Phase 3 (The Scale): As the business grows, your equity stake vests annually up to 25%, giving you a quarter share of the profits and exit value of a high-growth care business.
