Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Restaurant Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of The Ship Inn Bar & Bistro in the coastal town of Musselburgh The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality and culinary management, demonstrating exceptional leadership skills and a passion for delivering outstanding customer service. This role requires a hands-on approach to managing both front-of-house and back-of-house activities, ensuring that our guests receive an exceptional dining experience.
Responsibilities
* Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring smooth service and high-quality food preparation.
* Manage and supervise staff.
* Maintain high standards of food safety and hygiene in accordance with health regulations.
* Address customer inquiries and complaints promptly, ensuring satisfaction with their dining experience.
* Implement marketing strategies to attract new customers and retain existing ones.
* Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, updates, and feedback.
* Ensure compliance with all relevant legislation regarding food safety, health, and safety standards.
Qualifications
* Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the hospitality industry.
* Strong culinary skills with a background in food.
* Demonstrated supervisory experience with the ability to lead a diverse team effectively.
* Excellent organisational skills with exceptional attention to detail.
* Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in kitchen management.
