Role: Quality Engineer
Location: Wellingborough
Salary: £45,000 - £55,000 per annum
We're recruiting a Quality Engineer for a well-established precision engineering business in Wellingborough. a company that machines components for the automotive, aerospace and medical sectors.
This is a hands-on role for someone who takes real pride in quality and wants to make a genuine impact in a close-knit, high-performing team.
What you'll be doing:
* First article and in-process inspection on precision machined components
* CMM operation (PC-DMIS / Calypso) and customer inspection reporting
* NCR management — root cause analysis (8D / 5-Why) and CAPA
* Maintaining the QMS to ISO 9001:2015 standard
* Internal audits, supplier quality, and customer quality liaison
What you'll need:
* Quality experience in a precision / CNC machining environment
* Confident with CMM, engineering drawings and GD&T
* Hands-on with NCR, CAPA, FMEA and control plans
* ISO 9001:2015 knowledge (AS9100 / IATF 16949 a bonus)
