Fixed term contract Vacancy - Finance Business Partner - Capital
Location: King's Lynn, PE30 (Hybrid)
Hours: Full time
As a Capital Accountant, you will play a key role in managing and reporting on capital expenditure. You’ll ensure compliance with financial guidance, maintain accurate records of capital assets, and support strategic investment decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the capital programme, including monitoring capital budgets and expenditure.
* Maintain the fixed asset register and ensure accurate accounting for asset additions, disposals, and depreciation.
* Prepare capital forecasts, monthly reports, and year-end capital accounting schedules.
* Liaise with project managers, estates teams, and external auditors to ensure robust financial governance.
* Ensure compliance with capital accounting policies and statutory requirements.
* Support business cases for capital investment and provide financial insight for decision-making.
What We’re Looking For:
* Fully qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, CIPFA, or equivalent).
* Experience in capital accounting, ideally within the public sector.
Due to the nature of the vacancy, we are looking for candidates with short notice periods.
