Overview
Geotechnical and/or offshore experience is required for a Senior Project Manager role. The position reports to Head of Operations and involves driving impactful environmental projects with cross-functional collaboration to deliver on time, within scope, and within budget.
Responsibilities
* Perform all assigned tasks professionally in compliance with company and regulatory safety and technical standards.
* Deliver internal and external projects in accordance with technical, contractual and commercial requirements.
* Provide regular project performance reports to Management.
* Select, approve and review subcontractors.
* Act as the primary point of contact for clients throughout the project life cycle, from commercial handover to close out.
* Lead development of rigorous project management procedures and workflows across business lines.
* Coordinate with operational teams to ensure proper resourcing of projects (personnel and equipment).
* Input and review requests for quotation and tenders.
* Lead project-specific procurement as required.
* Attend on-site visits and related industry events as needed.
* Assist colleagues with day-to-day operations as requested.
Skillset and Qualifications
* Management: Scheduling and commercial forecasting, with strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
* Contracts: Experience reviewing and applying contractual documents; ability to negotiate with clients and suppliers.
* Technical: Good understanding of the offshore geotechnical survey industry, offshore operations and geotechnical data requirements.
* Previous experience in a similar role is essential.
* Excellent client-facing and customer service skills.
* Proven track record of successfully managing and delivering projects.
* Bachelor's degree in project management, engineering, or related field desirable.
* Project management qualification (PMP/PRINCE II) is a plus.
