We are looking for a technically driven co-founder who wants to help turn BIM workflows into scalable software products across automation, BIM modelling, information management, collaboration, analytics, and digital delivery.
This is a startup opportunity with real traction behind it. i-BIM already operates in the market through service delivery, and the next phase is to build a software-first business that productises that expertise.
## About i-BIM
i-BIM is focused on delivering digital solutions for the built environment. Our work spans BIM advisory, information management, digital delivery, modelling, collaboration, and wider construction technology support.
The long-term vision is to build software products and digital systems that improve how projects are delivered, managed, and operated.
## The opportunity
This role is for someone who is:
- Technical and commercially aware
- Willing to take an element of calculated risk
- Motivated by startup building, not just employment
- Interested in turning services into scalable products
- Comfortable working across strategy, product, and technical delivery
You will play a central role in defining what gets built, how it gets built, and how the business evolves.
## What you'll work on
You would help shape and build product opportunities around:
- BIM automation
- BIM modelling workflows
- Information management systems
- Collaboration platforms
- Project and delivery analytics
- Digital construction tools
- Software-enabled services for the built environment
## Responsibilities
- Help define the vision, roadmap, and technical direction of i-BIM
- Turn existing service knowledge into repeatable software deliverables
- Identify opportunities for automation and productisation
- Support product architecture, prototyping, and technical decision-making
- Contribute to business development and strategic partnerships
- Help position i-BIM as a software-first company within the construction sector
- Work closely with the founder to shape growth strategy and market direction
## What we're looking for
- Strong technical capability, ideally with exposure to BIM, AEC technology, automation, or software development
- Ability to think in systems, products, and scalable workflows
- Entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward action
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Interest in startups, ownership, and long-term value creation
- Experience in construction, BIM, digital transformation, SaaS, or product development is a strong advantage
