Overview
An exciting career opportunity is available for a confident, small animal veterinary surgeon with at least one year of post‑qualification experience to join a welcoming, family‑owned practice. The successful candidate will become part of a close‑knit and supportive team of five vets and five nurses, working within one of the country’s most beautiful veterinary practices.
Responsibilities
* Provide comprehensive veterinary care to small animals, including diagnostics, treatment and wellness care.
* Build and maintain long‑term relationships with clients, ensuring continuity of care with a dedicated vet.
* Participate in the delivery of excellent diagnostics, with full clinical autonomy and affordable treatment plans.
Qualifications
* Qualified veterinary surgeon with at least one year post‑qualification experience.
* Confident, calm under pressure and able to consult as well as perform clinical procedures.
* Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to a supportive team culture.
Benefits
* Salary £45,000–£50,000 (depending on experience) plus an annual bonus up to 20% of salary.

Working Hours and Facilities
The role offers a four‑ or five‑day week with flexible arrangements. There are no out‑of‑hours commitments, on‑call duties or bank holiday shifts. Vets benefit from 15‑minute consultations, a personalised consulting room and full access to a fully equipped clinical facility with digital DR x‑ray, dental x‑ray, ultrasound, laparoscopic equipment, dedicated cat and dog kennels and an accredited Veterinary Nurse Training Centre.
