Job Description:
Danos has been mandated on a 6-month Fixed Term Contract by a global asset manager, reporting into the UK Head of Legal.
The position is generalist in nature, but candidates with a strong background in funds / M&A are essential.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide pragmatic, business-focused legal advice across a range of legal issues affecting the company.
* Assist in structuring and forming investment funds, preparing offering documents, partnership agreements, and regulatory filings.
* Provide legal support on mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic transactions, including due diligence, transaction structuring, and negotiation of deal documents.
* Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of commercial agreements (e.g., vendor contracts, NDAs, service agreements).
* Support compliance with applicable laws and internal policies; identify legal and regulatory risks and propose mitigation strategies.
* Ensure ongoing compliance with data protection laws (e.g., GDPR, CCPA), including reviewing data processing agreements and supporting internal data governance.
Your Profile:
* Qualified lawyer with 5+ PQE
* Solid experience with fund formation and M&A transactions.
* Broad legal knowledge with the ability to confidently advise across multiple areas of law.
* Strong drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
* Commercially astute with a hands-on, solution-oriented approach.
* Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities effectively.
