Our client is seeking a proactive Temporary Finance Assistant to join their finance team within a busy construction company based in Cardiff.
The successful candidate will support key financial operations, with a primary focus on purchase ledger, bank reconciliations, and credit control.
Responsibilities:
* Process and maintain the purchase ledger, including matching, batching, and coding invoices
* Perform regular bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records.
* Assist with credit control tasks, including chasing overdue payments and maintaining customer accounts
* Support the finance team with ad hoc administrative tasks as needed
Requirements:
* Immediately available
* Previous experience in a finance or accounts role within the construction industry
* Strong understanding of purchase ledger and bank reconciliation processes
* Good communication and organisational skills
* Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
