Our client, a leader in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking an experienced ILS Engineer for a permanent role. The position offers a flexible location, with options to be based in either Romsey or Woking, and involves working with cutting-edge technology and systems within the Defence industry. Key Responsibilities: Delivering the ILS service support across key business functions to ensure they meet whole life cost targets and project/service profitability Developing and delivering project ILS strategies, plans, and reports in conjunction with relevant service and project deliverables Working with engineering, production, and supply chain teams to provide product and system supportability reporting and assurance Managing the service and support ILS responses to Customer Requests for Proposals (RFP), Invitations to Tender (ITT), and Contract Specifications Supporting business growth as an ILS SME for bids, product development, and project ILS meetings Supporting the engineering team in the production of FMECA's, RBD's, and MTBF generation Providing high levels of confidence in meeting both internal and external customer ILS support requirements Informing portfolio and project managers of relevant risks, issues, and progress in ILS functions Job Requirements: Significant experience in systems integration and ILS within the Defence sector Experience contributing to bid responses, understanding customer requirements, and providing ILS/IPS plans Experience in the service support of low volume, high value, products and systems in a highly regulated environment Knowledge and experience of applying through-life support standards such as DEF STAN 00-600, 00-40, 00-42, Mil Std 217F, and KiD Experience working with customers in a matrix managed team Strong knowledge of MOD support frameworks and their application as a supplier Degree or HND/HNC qualified in electrical or mechanical engineering, or relevant experience in the Defence Industry Benefits: Hybrid working with a minimum of three days a week in the Romsey/Woking office Flexi-time to suit your lifestyle Annual bonus based on profit share and personal performance Private medical insurance covering existing conditions 30 days of holiday per year plus bank holidays Due to the nature of this position, you must be eligible to achieve DV clearance, requiring British Citizenship and having resided in the UK for the last 10 years.
