Lead Operational Excellence and Commercial Growth
The Opportunity: We are seeking an experienced, strategically minded leader to join our senior Estates and Facilities team as the Associate Director of Facilities. This is a new, pivotal role required to lead a large, complex portfolio of essential campus services and support the University's Strategy 2035. Your mission will be to drive continuous improvement, maximise commercial income, and deliver an outstanding, compliant, and sustainable student and staff experience across all University sites.
The Role: As the Associate Director of Facilities, you will:
2. Provide senior leadership, assisting the Director of Estates and Facilities.
3. Be responsible for the effective delivery and commercial development of all campus facilities services.
4. Oversee critical functions including cleaning, security, catering, retail, conferencing, and accommodation.
5. Ensure statutory compliance and drive operational excellence across the entire service portfolio.
6. Strengthen leadership capacity, support cultural and service transformation, and meet rising customer-focused expectations.
7. Embed sustainability and ensure the University operates safely and efficiently.
You will bring:
8. Proven senior leadership experience in a large, complex facilities management environment.
9. A strong track record of commercialising services and maximising income.
10. Expert knowledge of statutory compliance and best-practice service delivery.
