Kühne + Nagel (AG & Co.) KG Are you a strategic operations leader ready to drive national performance in road logistics? We’re looking for a National Operations Director to lead profitable growth across FTL, LTL and groupage operations nationwide. In this role, you will define and execute the operational strategy, ensuring high service quality, productivity improvements and a strong carrier management approach. Working closely with sales and key stakeholders, you will enable business growth whilst maintaining operational excellence. As a key member of the Road Logistics leadership team, you will contribute to strategy, performance and continuous improvement across the UK.

* Develop and deliver the national operations strategy aligned with commercial objectives.
* Drive the achievement of financial and performance targets, service quality, compliance and customer satisfaction.
* Lead process improvements and increase productivity across all operational functions.
* Define and manage an effective carrier strategy with subcontractors and partners.
* Support sales in enabling new business opportunities.
* Build and leverage a strong European network to support UK growth.
* Contribute to business unit strategy as part of the leadership team.

What we would like you to bring
* Extensive experience in road logistics (FTL, LTL and groupage) with a strong operational focus.
* Proven leadership experience in a national, multi-site environment.
* Demonstrable experience operating at a senior leadership level within road logistics, including exposure to European networks.
* Strong knowledge of carrier management and groupage networks.
* Experience driving operational efficiency and process improvement initiatives.
* Familiarity with TMS and MS Office tools.
* Strong stakeholder management and leadership skills, with a hands‑on approach.
* An international mindset and the ability to operate beyond a purely domestic scope.
