Job Description:
Element has an exciting opportunity for a proactive and detail-oriented Power BI Developer. You will need strong analytical capabilities, a deep understanding of finance processes, and a passion for turning complex data into clear insights using Power BI.
This role involves working within the Enterprise Integration and Reporting team, alongside the Finance team and other business areas. The goal is to deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reporting through Power BI, primarily using Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations.
Core Responsibilities
* Develop, optimize, and maintain Power BI reports and dashboards to meet finance business needs.
* Collaborate with finance stakeholders to understand reporting requirements and translate them into data models and visualizations.
* Connect to, transform, and model data from D365 Finance and Operations and other relevant systems.
* Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across reporting outputs.
* Assist in governance and documentation of BI solutions, including data dictionaries and report inventories.
* Support the rollout of new Power BI features and train users as needed.
* Collaborate with IT Systems and Finance teams on data improvement initiatives and performance optimization.
Skills / Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills Needed:
* Solid understanding of Power BI, DAX, Power Query, and data modeling best practices.
* Experience working with Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations, especially its finance modules and data structures.
* Strong grasp of financial principles, terminology, and reporting requirements.
* Excellent communication skills for working across business and technical teams.
* Familiarity with Azure Data Lake, Synapse, or similar tools (desirable but not essential).
Experience Needed:
* Multiple years of delivering Power BI solutions with hands-on experience with D365 Finance and Operations data sources.
* Proven track record of delivering impactful, user-friendly reports to non-technical audiences.
