Overview
Join to apply for the Package Manager role at TieTalent. SRM are preparing for a major programme of construction works in Port Talbot, South Wales, with initial enabling works ahead of the main programme beginning in Q3 2025. The project value will be in excess of £200m and will be undertaken under an NEC form of contract.
Responsibilities
* Oversee the design, coordination and management of subcontractors across trades within the area of works.
* Interface between internal departments and external agencies (Architects, Engineers, Construction Workers, Sub-contractors, Client agents, Clerk of Works, Site Staff) to coordinate and manage works contractors under NEC 4 Construction Management.
* Ensure SRM obligations to the client and works contractors are understood and discharged in line with contract conditions.
* Organise and conduct weekly site progress meetings with works contractors to monitor logistics, programme, progress, quality and safety; provide updates to the Chief Engineer and Project Manager/Project Director.
Qualifications and Requirements
* Degree in civil engineering, heavy construction, construction management or a construction-related field (ideally).
* Must be a team player with a hands-on, can-do attitude; site-based as a key project team member.
* IT proficiency is essential; ability to prepare a 3-week look-ahead programme with the assistance of a project planner.
* Experience in package management; experience as a Temporary Works Coordinator would be an advantage.
* Knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards.
* Working toward or holding a construction industry-related professional membership (e.g., ICE, CIOB, RICS, IStructE, etc).
* Ideally located in South Wales within daily travelling distance of Port Talbot.
