Are you an experienced Pharmacy Technician with a passion for innovation who thrives in a dynamic environment and prioritises safety and efficiency? Nottingham University Hospitals (NUH) is looking for a proactive and passionate Advanced Pharmacy Technician - Dispensaries to lead the delivery of dispensary services across both the City and Queens Medical Centre campuses.
You will play a key role in shaping how we deliver safe, effective, and patient-centred pharmacy services while helping drive quality improvements that impact thousands of patients.
Responsibilities
* Lead, manage and develop large-scale pharmacy services, influencing strategy and operational performance at one of the largest acute teaching trusts in England.
* Drive service transformation through audits, risk management, incident reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and pharmacy teams to deliver high-performing services.
* Inspire and manage a team of Chief and Lead Pharmacy Technicians, support professional development, and promote a positive, team-driven culture.
* Oversee day-to-day activities in our pharmacy stores, ensuring compliance with legislation and national standards.
Qualifications & Skills
* A proven leader with experience in managing teams, line management responsibilities, and developing services.
* Experience in risk and performance management, audits, incident reporting, and ensuring compliance with medicines legislation.
* A collaborative communicator who can influence, support and build effective working relationships across multidisciplinary teams.
* A strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Organised, adaptable and proactive, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* Driven by quality and improvement, with a focus on providing safe, effective, and patient-centred services.
