We are currently seeking an experienced Skilled Production Operative to join our manufacturing team. This role is ideal for someone with a strong background in FMCG or food production who can confidently set up, operate, and troubleshoot production machinery while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up, operate, and optimise production machinery to meet output and quality targets
* Carry out product changeovers, machine adjustments, and line start-ups/shut-downs
* Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve mechanical or process issues to minimise downtime
* Conduct routine machine checks and basic fault finding
* Ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and health & safety standards
* Complete production and quality documentation accurately
* Support and guide entry-level operators where required
* Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with 5S standards
Qualifications
Skills & Experience Required
* Previous experience as a Machine Operator in a food or FMCG manufacturing environment
* Strong understanding of production processes and machinery
* Ability to fault find and make mechanical adjustments
* Knowledge of food safety standards (HACCP, GMP) preferred
* Good attention to detail and problem-solving skills
* Comfortable working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment
* Strong communication and teamwork skills
Additional Information
Shifts: Days or Nights, 7 till 7 (3 on 3 off)
Salary: £24,500.70 to £27,725.54 (DOE)
