Childrens Home Registered Manager
12-Month Maternity Cover

Salary: up to £50k (dependent on experience)
Contract:
Fixed-term, 12 months (maternity cover) with a strong possibility to move into permanent within the company
start date - December 2025 preferably
Hours:
Full-time, 37.5 hours per week

The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated
Childrens Home Registered Manager
to lead Bluebell House for a 12-month maternity cover. You will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure compliance with Ofsted regulations, and drive high standards of care for our children.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead, manage, and support a multi-disciplinary team to deliver outstanding care.
Maintain compliance with Ofsted, and relevant statutory frameworks.
Ensure the safety, wellbeing, and progress of children in line with care plans and individual needs.
Develop and implement policies, procedures, and development plans for the home.
Lead staff recruitment, training, supervision, and appraisal.
Build strong relationships with families, social workers, and external agencies.
Monitor and manage budgets and resources effectively.
Prepare reports for internal management and regulatory inspections.
Person Specification
Essential:
Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management (or equivalent) in health and social care.
Previous experience managing a childrens residential home.
Strong understanding of Ofsted regulations and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work under pressure and make decisions in the best interests of children.
Desirable:
Experience managing services for children with learning or physical disabilities.
Knowledge of local authority commissioning and care standards.
