About the Role
As Clinical Nurse Lead, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day leadership and development of our clinical team. Reporting directly to the Home Manager and working closely with the Group Clinical Lead, you will ensure the highest standards of care are delivered and maintained in line with the NMC Code of Conduct and company policies.
This is a hands-on leadership position where your clinical expertise and compassionate approach will inspire and guide your team to provide exceptional care in every interaction.
Key Responsibilities, Leadership & Management
* Provide strong clinical leadership across the home, ensuring high-quality care is consistently delivered.
* Supervise, support, and develop the clinical team through regular appraisals, supervision, and performance management.
* Promote a positive team culture aligned with the values and vision of Opus Care Ltd.
* Champion learning and development by ensuring training compliance and clinical competency across all units.
* Foster effective communication with colleagues, residents, families, and external professionals, upholding confidentiality and data protection standards at all times.
* Ensure compliance with all regulatory, legal, and company-specific requirements.
* Lead on audit actions and drive continuous clinical improvement throughout the home.
Clinical Excellence
* Deliver and oversee person-centred care, ensuring dignity, respect, and lifestyle choices are always prioritised.
* Maintain high standards of medication management, care planning, and clinical documentation.
* Ensure clinical interventions are evidence-based and reflect the latest best practices in nursing care.
* Lead medication and care plan audits in line with company policy.
* Be a visible presence within the home, supporting staff with clinical queries and assisting in complex care situations.
* Respond promptly and appropriately to residents in distress or requiring additional support.
Health & Safety
* Monitor and ensure safe storage of medication and clinical equipment in line with policies.
* Identify and manage clinical and environmental risks through regular assessments.
* Promote a safe working environment for residents and staff alike.
What We're Looking For Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (RGN) with a valid NMC Pin
Skills & Experience
* Proven clinical leadership experience within a care setting
* Excellent communication – written, verbal, and non-verbal
* Strong knowledge of clinical best practices and a commitment to ongoing professional development
